I have a solution to solve ALL of Earths money issues.... Shut down all the bullshit shuttle missions NASA launches. Its been how many decades of life on other planets and new planets and new stars....YET, what has really been found? Nothing. The same stuff thats been there long before the Human race even existed, were just taking forever to see it. What has seeing it done for us? Nothing. We havent found anything beneficial. We havent met new lifeforms. We havent jumped planets or found resources we can use. So WTF is the point of NASA launching trillions of $$$ in equipment into space, to take some pictures with a million $$$ camera, then come crashing back to Earth? ESPECIALLY since the Hubble Telescope is located on Earth and sees farther than anything we have to launch. The total amounts (in nominal dollars) that NASA has been budgeted from 1958 to 2011 amounts to $526.18 billion—an average of $9.928 billion per year. ^^^I can understand the scientific research funding and whatnot.....but tell me this, what has science found in the last 10 years thats been groundbreaking for the PUBLIC? Found a cure for cancer? AIDS? Nope. We spend billions on finding ROCKS...but the government continues to tell the MIDDLE CLASS there isnt enough money for pensions and SSI.....they tell the lower class, dont worry well just take more money and GIVE it to you....they tell the upper class, dont worry this wont affect you. So with all the debt and whatnot... why is it the US budget continues to dump so much into these projects that bring us no more than we already knew?
