I have a topic that Im curious about peoples opinions on. It seems a lot of events in the community have become a bit stratified based on economic class. I think the most obvious example is Leyenda and Electric Poncho. But the current seems much deeper with a lot of private events at mansions and fancy homes and many fewer events open to the masses. Im immediately bored whenever I hear how exclusive a party is. Ive always appreciated the cross-pollination of burner culture and it seems that we are drifting away from that in San Diego... becoming a little bit Losangelified by judging people by their means. Or is that people are tired of the small group of burners who use community as a means to FUNraise for personal projects that have minimal community impact? What is your opinion of the state of our local community? Are there things we can do to improve it?
