. I have a vintage DeArmond guitar pick-up for sale. I believe it is a Rhythm Chief model 1000. From the research Ive done they used to call this type of pick-up a Monkey on a stick due to the way it s mounted on the guitar. Its all original with the pick-up , the stick , mounting bracket and the control box with volume, tone and rhythm , lead switch and even the original cord. This pick-up was recently professionally cleaned , had one connection resoldered and works fine. Cosmetically its in good shape for its age except the back of the control box is missing , which has no effect on the way it works, and one could easily be fabricated , which I will do myself if I dont sell it soon. I do not have the original box or paper work. These were meant for archtop acoustic guitars but can and have been used on flat top round hole guitars as well. The pick-up sounds great and works as it should. Ive seen these go for big money on different auction sites when they are in mint condition with the box and paper work and everything.........Im asking for $300 OBO.....I have no way to post pictures at the moment but will try to soon....for now you can google up DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1000 if youre interested.
