I have always stood by dictum that in democratic polity the strength of numbers has little relevance than to strength of ideas , so long the ideas of governance are well reflected thro sound policy ,numbers do not matter, and a bad policy with bad ideas will get you brickbats ,no matter how strong your numbers are......just because you have numbers is no recipe for acceptability , on the contrary it may make you insensitive to public perception and even feeble voice of dissent on a constitutional platform, this insensitivity can snowball into a greater public outrage .... the more sensitive a government is to public perception the more is its longevity in office and the more it is oriented towards welfare of people..... strength of ideas is more potent than strength in numbers..
