I have an offer of some free / not-as-free gear to a good noisy home from Matt Love , in his own words: Make a good case for these : * Rather old (2006/2007ish?) Mac Book Pro 15 2.33GHz, 2GB ram. Needs a new battery. Just powered it back on using the power lead and it seems to go alright, but very slow though (my tablet is probably faster these days).. you could probably get away with hard wiring the power lead in. * AMT8 8 port midi interface. Not sure about windows drivers. I think emagic stopped supporting it after XP, but it looks like there are still mac drivers. For sale: * Novation Nova desktop synth module (see vintagesynth/novation/nova.php). I meant to send you this email last week, but only just found the power supply). Basically a supernova analogue modelling synth in a desktop module. lots of fx, knobs and flashing lights, plus its blue! The cutoff and one of the data knobs are playing up and might need replacing, or maybe just a clean. $350. * Alesis RA-100 amp and Tanoy Reveal speakers. The amp had a little bit of buzzing going on last time I plugged it in, but may have just been a ground loop somewhere. One speaker has a little chip taken out of the wood (a friend dropped it), but otherwise is fine. $300.
