I have another town hall this evening, and in light of recent news the last few days I feel a warning such as this is actually acceptable and needed at this point. I have no issues delivering, I just need to know what other veterans are thinking. So please, add input and advice. This is a DRAFT.... What I am about to say some will dismiss as the rantings of a veteran with PTSD. Some will understand just how serious I am. Some may even wish to charge me with a capital crime once I am finished. I do not take what I am about to say lightly, and I will gladly and voluntarily be taken into federal custody afterwards if need be. I havent got a lot of sleep these last few months. I know many other veterans who havent either. We are stuck watching helplessly as what should be a place of comfort and the fulfilment of a promise exposes a level of corruption, greed, and criminality of such disgraceful degree. Many of us veterans worry that even despite the threats from abroad, the undeniable scope of the root issue will lead to outright Revolution in this country. More on that later. Right now, we are well beyond the Bonus March scenario of 1932. Secretary McDonald I urge you to engage veteran activists and advocates in a dialogue about veteran oversight at all VA facilities. Involve us in our own care. Let us do the work we can not rely upon our own VA to do anytime in the near future. Let us get our veterans off the streets, out of crisis, and out of poverty. Some of us have had issues that lasted years resolved within days. It has depended upon each individual either reaching out to the Secretary himself, or showing up to one of these Town Hall meetings and literally being swarmed by people tripping over themselves to be seen helping in front of the media. Where were all of you before this crisis broke? Why are you here instead of out there getting our most vulnerable veterans help? Why do veterans feel their representatives are only interested in helping if it provides a photo opportunity or a blurb in the media? There is a cancer in this country. It is special interests, bribery, revolving door cronyism, and the wholesale auction of liberty and representation. It is the childish way our elections have devolved into something resembling primary school, and all legislative messages are lost. We have a representative body that only represents itself or those who are attempting to buy our government. More effort is expended on name calling, blaming, obstructing, and dividing the entire country than accomplishing any real work. This is not Democracy, this is a planned and executed takeover of this country by the Oligarchy. Congress needs to reconvene immediately. You have years of legislation left undone, and decades more to undo. No more lame duck excuses. This country will not be great again, or set an example to the world, until it fulfils its promise to the American people to promote the general welfare of this country. This country will begin representing its citizenry over money or the representation will be replaced in whole. The Constitution of the United States gives power to the people to accomplish this task. Any attempts by representatives to withhold even one of the liberties or rights of the American people from this point on will be seen as an act of aggression by a corrupted government. Any attempts to sabotage the national economy, the chain of command within the military, or legislation to address the social ills of this country will be seen as an act of treason. It is time Congress puts America first, not the Oligarchy.
