So instead Ill pray with every tear, and be thankful for the time I had you here. -Matthew West Its been an emotional week for my family with Mammaw Faust. I feel so blessed to have been fortunate enough to have her in my life for the 46 years Ive been on this earth. Such an amazing woman who taught everyone she crossed paths with so much about unconditional love, and as my Uncle Ken Hollis put it best, being exited and living for now. He said how she never looked for the next thing to make her happy, because she always new she already had it, her faith and her family...In this crazy world we live in, we get so caught up in if only I had this I would be happy, then we get it and its not enough, so we look for the next thing, and so on, and so on....She truly was the most positive and happiest person I have ever known. Ive said it before, but I will say it it again, I am thankful for the time we had to sell our house a few short years ago, and the times we didnt know where money would come from to pay our bills, (Sometimes we still dont). Some of our best memories have come out of what we thought was a dark time, but in actuallity, it was a time of immense growth in our faith and our family and I wouldnt change it for anything. That time made me realize what my Mammaw already knew, and this past week in her last days with us, I was reminded once again. She would still tell you when you asked how she was, Im fine, how are you?, and when you said you love her she responded Love you more. She truly got what life was about, and I hope everyone knows now or learns what she did. I could go on and on about how awesome Mammaw Faust was, but words cant describe her and her impact on so many. youtu.be/zbsBUf9VKyc
