I have been a Penn Stater since 1962. Ive never been one to spew forth sour grape statements, and I wont start now. Instead, I would like to ask why a coach or coaches or team captains refuse to shake hands before the game starts? Who made that decision and why? Ive seen plenty of unsportsmanlike like conduct across sports (e.g., Brands and Prescott). However, Ive not seen it before the contest begins. I wont even comment on the player who almost knocked the officials whistle down his throat. With this said, if this is , according to the announcers, the beginning of a rivalry, Id rather not bother watching or attending a future PSU/MD game.
