I have been a loyal Virgin mobile customer for many many years now - TopicsExpress

I have been a loyal Virgin mobile customer for many many years now and I have had a few ups and downs but most were resolved quickly and efficiently up until last year. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it was obviously a dodgy phone (it happens) from the outset and it died 3 months after I got it (motherboard & battery). I took it to a place in St. Peters/Payneham area to be repaired locally rather than send it interstate so that I wasn’t without phone for 3 weeks or more whilst being repaired. After I got it back all was good again until around the 3 month mark it died again (motherboard) and took weeks to fix as it had to be sent off interstate. The staff member I dealt with at Modbury Virgin Mobile Store was arrogant, rude and unprofessional. I informed him when I picked it up I said “when” it dies again I want a new one as I felt as though I was being treated poorly. His reply “not going to happen” it will be repaired same as this time. So of course after a couple of months it “died” again and after complaining they still refused to replace it but at least offered $40 towards buying a replacement phone. So again it took weeks to repair and of course I got it back and a couple of months down the track it has “died” again, so this time I haven’t bothered notifying Virgin because I know the drill. I have been told to go to the Telecommunication Ombudsman but I have gone past the point of wanting to deal with Virgin (or OPTUS as they are the repairers) anymore. I thought loyalty to a brand/store is rewarded, apparently not at Virgin, they have got my money of the years and don’t give a stuff that they sold me a dodgy phone. So I will repost this on Facebook at the beginning of each month, until my contract expires in April 2014, to warn all my family, friends and customers to be wary if looking at using Virgin Mobile.
