I have been a member of Kaiser Permante for years and have had procedures done and blood work numerous times, but when I went to my online medical record to get my blood type I couldnt find it in the records. So I emailed my doctor asking him where I could find the information and he replied that that was not a standard procedure to type blood but he will put a order to the lab for me. WTH...even my dog tags from the military had my blood type embossed on them. I cant believe that a primary care provider does not do that as standard procedure and in case of emergency.
