I have been a member of this association since 2009. On July 1st, I will once again serve as Chapter President until December 2014 - at which point all chapters will be dissolved as the IAAP looks to Revitalize and re-structures into branches to better serve our members. As the membership dynamics change, so must the organization to ensure its relevance to the administrative professionals of today and the future. In the plans are more high powered educational events, increased networking opportunities, and leadership development. Many members are involved in making this association more member focused, more development focused, and more up to date. Details and plans for the improved IAAP will be forthcoming at the upcoming EFAM (Education Forum and Annual Meeting) in Milwaukee the last week of July. I will say that I am optimistic about the upcoming changes within the IAAP structure and what it will offer to members. I hope you are too and that you will continue your membership with us, because until then we will be conducting business as usual with our monthly meetings. Stay tuned for the release of the 2014 Educational Program lineup from September to December 2014! You wont want to miss out!
