I have been a single parent since I was 15. It has been a difficult journey but not an impossible one. I work full-time, go to school, and take care of my kids. Times will get hard, so hard that getting out of bed is a job in itself, eating will seem like a waste of time. But then you will have these amazing days that will lift you up for a moment and that moment you use it to rest up for the next hit thats coming. It is a mental war!! Cleaning your kids tears when they ask why isnt the other parent around (that will sting your heart to the point you cant breath). The days you cant make ends meet, your car breaks down, you lose your job and then you have to clean yourself up, go pick the kids up from school, get dinner started, help with homework, showers, last get them into bed, and then lock yourself in your room and try not drown in your own tears. You dont sleep the whole night because you feel like the struggle will never end. You get up the next day, drop the kids off and get back on it. Being a parent period is mentally hard, imagine being a single one. To all the parents out there who are working hard to give their kids a better life, yall are AMAZING! Life is all about moments, good ones, bad ones, hard ones, amazing ones......Not all moments are bad. Do not get lost in the bad moments, eventually they come to an end.-Phenomenal Woman
