I have been asked many questions concerning, Why do I do what I - TopicsExpress

I have been asked many questions concerning, Why do I do what I do, and why am I GIVING AWAY my music??? I hope this answers some of those questions :) .... I actually had given up on the idea of being a famous guitarist years ago, but yet kept playing, I suppose out of a love of it and habit. Then, because of varied circumstance I began to focus on being a finger style soloist guitarist ... I had been in many bands and been let down by other peoples circumstance, band mates quitting and putting me back to square one, for what ever reason, good or bad. I tried to continue using technology to produce a full band sound by myself. But then I grew tired of being subject to tech gremlins and the like. So, at that point, I made a conscious decision that if I couldnt do it by myself, without ANY help from others or technology, then I was no longer going to focus on any of that sort of music in a live sense though I did continue some multi track recording. That was a HUGE turning point for me as a musician. As I began to age and such, I began hearing a voice in my head urging me to create some sort of record of my skills. They were hard earned and I was actually TERRIFIED of the thought of working so hard, for an entire lifetime, and not being able to share or show those hard earned chops to ANYONE, especially those people I care for. Just imagine if you will, what it would be like, to work on a painting or a sculpture for your ENTIRE LIFETIME, or anything for that matter, then passing on, without ANYONE seeing your creation or even being aware that you even worked on ANY painting or sculpture. so I wanted to create a record to show me at my best to share with my children and family and my future generations, so when the questions came up, What did I do with my life and what did I spend my time doing, the record could be presented. Soooo ..... a close friend that I love so much, gave me a video camera for Christmas a few years back with a message that was I expect to see you on YouTube .... Well after a year or so the voice in my head won out and I shot my first video, not even showing my face. With no real plan of a song, I just turned the camera on and played a little of Ghost Riders in the Sky. https://youtube/watch?v=rSL2XWZlKTs .. ... I will continue this story soon. Kevin
