I have been challenged to state what my favorite Bible verse is from many people, however I have several verses that I often cling to and use. I use John 14:6 to tell others about Jesus and how you get to Heaven: I am the way the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father except through me. When I dont understand what Gods plan is for me or the reasons things happen, I find that I turn to Jeremiah 29:11: For I have plans for you declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Another verse that is so very dear to me is Proverbs 3:5- Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. When Curt found out two years ago that he had to have open heart surgery, I remember walking into the Henrys Gifts and Home Decor store. There was a sign with running horses and that verse. I knew that God was speaking right to me at that very moment. David Shawn Henry, gave that to me as a gift as a matter of fact. When my children were born I praised God with 1 Samuel 1:27- I have prayed for this child and the LORD has given me what I asked. Sorry challengers, I have more than one favorite!
