I have been contacted by some of you regarding the adopt a family idea. I very much want to do this, and we have a week to go to Thanksgiving. I also want to help make sure they have Christmas. I have found out this is just two people we are talking about. If you have not heard about this yet.....I found out there is a wildland fire fighter and his wife who were facing a very bleak Thanksgiving and Christmas. I want to be able to provide them with the meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas and to provide a Christmas tree and decorations, along with gifts for them. Several people stepped forward and said they wanted to help. I greatly appreciate that as help will be needed to make it happen. So first things first, we need to provide a Thanksgiving dinner with all the usual features. We need; Small turkey to feed 2 and have leftovers Bag of potatoes Bag of onions Stuffing Cranberry sauce Vegetables Sweet Potatoes. Rolls Pumpkin Pie and whipped cream. Let me know what you can provide. Remember, we are looking to replicate this for Christmas as well. If you can take care of an item for both meals that would be great. I will be posting a list of what we need for Christmas later, but some things are givens such as a tree and ornaments and lights for decorations.
