The slaughter of elephants is a three-spear crisis composed of poaching, smuggling, and buying. We at Elephants DC are dedicated to advocating for a full ivory sales ban in America and around the world. We feel this is the best solution to help save the elephants at home while supporting field agencies on the ground and concurrently holding open dialogue and developing strategy with organizations pursuing key anti-poaching, anti-smuggling and anti-terrorism initiatives. Throwback Thursday #TBT - Check out our president, Jen Samuel, call for the end of the ivory trade in America in her speech, The Unspoken Truth, at the first Federal Advisory Council on Wildlife Trafficking held Dec. 16, 2013, at the U.S. Department of Interior in Washington, District of Columbia. eDC has joined fellow advocates from around the nation at each of the three federal advisory council meetings held to combat wildlife trafficking.
