ERASE KAVANAGH – VOTE SCHWARZ IN THE AUGUST PRIMARY SENATE RACE – LD-23: Republican Primary – The Most Pivotal Primary Race for Public or Charter Schools in Scottsdale. Jeff Schwarz is so greatly superior of a choice for Education it will be a horrible slap in the face of Scottsdale parents if he loses to Kavanagh. Jeff is hardly a proponent of wild spending at the State – but when it comes to the need to stabilize our declining Schools, he “gets it”. During his tenure as the House Appropriations Committee Chairman, Kavanagh presided over state funding decisions that led to continuous cuts to funding of our Scottsdale Schools – both Public and Charter. We dropped from 45th in the nation to 48th in total funding. The State fought to ignore Voter Referendums mandating Inflation Funding. Kavanagh was at the point of that battle. Now he wants to become a Senator to avoid being “termed out” of the Legislature so he can maintain his attack on education – a strange position for a guy who lives from pensions and paychecks written to him by educational institutions. INDEPENDENT VOTERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION BUT YOU MUST REGISTER QUICKLY Independent Voters are now the largest voting segment in Maricopa County passing Republican Voters just this year. In both the Primary and the November Election, Independent Voters can cause the change needed to begin the process of fixing State funding for our community and our kids. You must register to vote in the Republican Primary to start that change. Do it FAST.
