I have been dealing with this issue a lot lately. There are so many amazing dogs that dont want to bite people, kill dogs or other animals being put down in shelters everyday. I may end up the bad guy most days because I think and act rationally and realistically when it comes to truly rehabilitating dog with no home. I often see people making very poor emotional choices when it comes to rescuing these types of dogs. It takes a lot more than love, hope, rainbows and butterfly kisses to realistically find these difficult dogs a new home. If its a dog I wouldnt take into my own home or have around my dogs, family and friends, I have a difficult time putting those types of issues onto a family that deserves a great dog, not a management nightmare.
