I have been following the escapades of the Honorable Tony Abbott, MP for over 6 years and when he was first becoming prominent as the opposition leader i thought No way is this guy ever, EVER going to be Prime Minister of Australia. Never. And lo and behold he is Prime Minister now and is holding on to power tenaciously. I thought the guy was like some walking talking satire of super conservative politicians, like they have in bad American 80s movies and TV shows, except the Australian counterpart. Its still hard to believe he is in power, its like im living in Bizzareo-world Australia that really should not exist. Oh well its going to be very entertaining to see what happens next. Can Tony Abbott successfully complete his term as Prime minister? Will his party drop support for him and replace him with Julie Bishop?
