I have been getting a lot of questions about us moving, so rather than try to respond to each person, I figured it would be best to just make a general post so that all of those (who care to know) will be informed. Yes, we have made the decision to move to Missouri (near Kansas City). There are a few reasons why, but mostly because my husbands businesses are there and both have proven to need him there on a daily basis in order for them to succeed. For those of you who may not be aware, Todd has been commuting back & forth between Lubbock & KC for 3 years. It is not only wearing him down, but the worries of him on the road every other week (not to mention the expense) has just become too much to manage. Ultimately, it is best for us to be there, since this is what feeds our family. Also, Todd & I originally grew up, went to high school, and lived near KC for years.....so it really is home for us. Yes, I am still singing....both in Lubbock, & eventually will be in KC also - as soon as I can put a band together. We still have gigs booked through September in Lubbock. (I will post a list of our remaining shows in a separate post for those who follow us). But we will only be able to consider occasional Saturday dates for gigs in the future, due to travel constraints & work schedules. (Yes, I work a real day job too!) :) Emily is excited about her new school, playing volleyball, and has already made many friends there. So, there it is, in a nutshell. We leave this Friday, after Emily gets out of school. We are very excited about this transition in our lives and know that this is the direction we are supposed to be headed. We will be back in Lubbock often - Emily & I both have family here (plus, the guys in the band would miss me giving them a hard time).....so, on that note, hope to see you all at a show soon so I can say goodbye in person. :)
