I have been in a few private conversations about bugging out. - TopicsExpress

I have been in a few private conversations about bugging out. Never coming home scenario. Living and being self reliant in a bad situation etc. Hear is some starting personal thoughts~ 1. IF you HAD to leave your premises and you were not sure if you would ever return, what would I take or pack.... I would be tool heavy, make sure I had a way to filter/boil water and make sure I had the availability to make a shelter and spend a comfortable night no matter what the season, take a trapping kit, and a proper 10c kit. 2. Why not bug in... If you bug in, you most likely need to fortify and defend your stuff. If I properly defended my stuff and my supply of stuff ran out~ I need to then travel further to find the recourses as they most likely have been taken or used up. ESENTIALLY you would need to yet again, pack a bag and leave your premises anyways. 3. IF I had been planning on bugging out, and bought the right gear and was ready to weather the storm... WHERE are you going? How far can one travel with a never come home bag on there back...under no duress? let along running or evading??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My plan of attack is a simple one. It may be totally off the wall for most, but its seems more logical for my skill sets. 1. have a month supply for all my familys needs from food water and toys candy entertainment..as I have 5 kids and need to think about them as well. 2. Make sure I have a pack that is well equipped for me to stay for many nights if need be, but not so packed I can not return with recourses. 3. I will plan routes to the many waterways for travel, food, water etc, close to my home. If im away from home, I BETTER TAKE A FULL KIT IN MY VEHICLE. Other than that, I believe that I will not let the neighbors know about any stockpiling, showing off of guns or ammo, I will walk freely amongst the masses with no brow lashing because of my Armageddon get home bag..as I will be packing as light as possible and rely heavily on skills and fitness. Proper game plan Proper gear selection Having a plan a-b-c-d and so on Being fit enough to carry gear for a long distance, and to bring recourses home if need be. Besides the warring masses, the looting and rioting. That we ALL should avoid. We should be looking for HEAVY COVER,SHELTER,WATER,RECOURSES, AND CARY A SOLID KIT.....That sound very much like camping to me. I would like for SERIOUS input on this thread. Any jokesters will be bounced. I hate the bug out Armageddon when shtf and all them buzz words... but it IS something that we should be ready for. NOT SURE IF YALL WANT TO CALL IT PREPPING, I JUST DO NOT WANT TO BE CAUGHT WITH MY PANTS DOWN, AND I TRULY BELIEVE THAT IT IS NOT AS DIFFICULT AS MOST CLAIM IT IS GOING TO BE. I was not yelling im just too lazy to retype with caps off. what are your thoughts on above statements and observations please.
