I have been in the industry for over ten years and if my contract was illegal I believe my business would not have been so successful for the past ten years. A fairly regular timeframe is given to our clients to read and understand how the process works before he/she agrees to enter into the contract, therefore I believe a person would not have entered into an illegal contract, as it makes no sense. We specialise in people who has HP and lease problems and our main focus is not on clients who wants to sell their vehicles, especially not when the trade value is higher than the settlement amount. The contract clearly stipulates that the vehicle will be settled in 60 days or when the settlement amount is equal to the trade value and in return we will also help our clients like yourself to rent to own a vehicle through our company. As the director of the company I have a standard company procedure that all my sales agents has to abide by the rules of the company policy and our HR representative has taken up the matter with the sales agent who was responsible and suspended. I do not tolerate unethical behaviour from my colleages and the necessary precausions has been taken to prevent anything negative that degrades the company values and level of service towards our clients - not to have this repeated again in the future. I sincerely apologise on behalf of Van Tonder Motors and guarantee that this will never happen again. I believe we have gone against our own company motto to termite the contract as my sales consultant has not acted in the best interest of my client as well as the company. We have in return, returned the vehicle personally. Unfortunately we have been in the possession of the vehicle for only a small period of time therefore we needed a pro-rata amount of the instalment from yourself for the remaining period that the vehicle was in your own possession to cover the instalment we made to the bank. I have assisted many clients with very expensive vehicles who has trusted me to have ready approved clients take over their instalments. I thank you for all your co-operation in assisting us to finalise this matter as speedily as possible. It has been decided after carefulll investigation that the involved in this matter has been suspended and found guilty of misconduct and fiinally been dismissed. We are glad to have been of further assistance to you in the future!
