I have been nominated by my wife, Diane Herner, for the 7 Day Thankful Challenge. 1) First and foremost, I am thankful for being alive. Period. A lot goes into that sentiment, much of it is very personal. But everything else starts with being here in the first place, so for that fact alone, I am grateful. 2) Diane Herner. My lover. My confidante. My hero. My rock. My best friend in all the world. Having her in my life inspires me every day to try and be a better man. I am awed by how lucky a guy I am to have her as my life partner. 3) My parents. For giving me my life. For nurturing and raising me and always doing their best to see that I got what I needed while being their dependent. For working hard so that I could get a good education and be prepared to venture out on my own life as an independent. For always being there in my times of need thereafter. For all the life lessons that were learned, especially their demonstration of what love is and should always be.
