I have been pondering the Ebola crisis that it seems we may be facing. As a follower of Yeshua how should we respond to it. So far most of what Ive seen onFB from Christians has been nothing more than fear mongering. In 1 John 4:18 the bible clearly states that perfect love cast out fear. I think as believers we need to mature in our love. We know that according to scripture hard times are coming that there will be all types of pestilences that will come on the earth. These are all signs of the soon return of Jesus. In fact in Luke 21 it says when you see these things look up your redemption is drawing near. In these rough times people are looking for answers and we have them our hope is in The Lord. Lets not become part of the problem by causing more anxiety. Let us be the bastions of hope that God has called us to be. No matter what happens my life is in His hands there is no need to be afraid. Nothing takes Him by surprise we can trust that God is faithful and yes things I believe are going to get harder before its all said and done, but as long as I have Jesus I have everything I need. Let us begin to pray for our leaders to bless and not curse them. I would remind you that you dont have to agree with someone in order to love and pray for them. Lets us be salt and light to a world who is crying out for answers. Maranatha even so come Lord Jesus!
