With just over two weeks before my birthday, Im being asked what I want to be gifted..... Heres my thing. I dont like stuff... I like memories, stories, experiences. I dont need objects, trinkets, or material goods. Instead, I am asking for one of four things things from each of you: 1. I love seeing people I love get to know other people I love. If you are around, pop in for Jasons Annual Sort-Of-Low-Key, Not-So-Low-Key Open Door Birthday Gathering. Its a BYOWhateverLegalSubstanceYouWantToBring, chill night of a couple of drinks, storytelling, meeting new people, and just hanging out. Ill supply the basic mixers and maybe a couple snacky things... anything else is up to you. Just remember to wear a combination of black and/or silver. 2. I love memories, especially through photos. So, like every year, I am asking that you all share photos on my wall of how we met, our relationship, or a great memory we have shared. Dont have a photo of us? Its cool... find a meme or random photo the represents what you want to say. ;) This is TRULY what I want for my birthday.... so take note and start looking for pictures.... lol 3. If you insist on getting me a thing... I would happily accept real bow ties (not those pre-tied things.....) or crazy dress socks, so that I can think of you every time I wear them. If thats no good, I love a glass of wine here and there, whether to spoil myself during a bubble bath or with friends over dinner. My collection is down to only three or four bottles, so thats an option. 4. If none of the above options are desirable, simply do something nice for someone you see on my birthday. Pay for the lunch of the person behind you in line. Grab someone a coffee just because. Call a friend you havent caught up with in a while. Buy a bouquet of flowers and give them to a random old lady. Just do something nice... pay if forward! So there you have it... the things I want for my birthday this year.
