I have been real busy everyone ;being in business with my husband installing floors, and work has been hard to keep up with - Not complaining a bit!! We are very thankful indeed. I hope someday to make a living from my passionate hobby working with bears, and too educate the public more in reference to: Bear cub rehabilitation, observation, and everything; that I have witnessed documented over the years and continue to do so-The reason I say this is because I could easily work full time at home, and dont get me wrong-I dont have a problem not having made any earnings over the past 17 years-for working with bears is a dream come true for me, and I am so very thankful and feel very blessed! I will say though 2014 is the 1st time I have ever paid myself, and odds are most of it goes right back to the bears. I too would like to pay my husband Michael for all the work he has done with helping me work on my beautiful facility, and the upkeep that is involved. I appreciate Rick Libbey Moose Man whom has taken photos and donates 20 % proceeds form his photos, and products that he sells of my Maine cubs , and it does not bother me at all ,that Rick makes 80 % from the photos he has taken . I too take photos, and will be promoting the ones that I also have taken, and continue - I being the only caretaker - it is convenient for me to get photos, and too I will be selling note cards, calendars ,photos...100% proceeds going to the bears. I also again want to thank the biologist for the information that is gathered after my bears are released. Brave & Freedom are doing great! I havent had much time to update things, but I certainly will; I have pages of data on paper, that I just need to type out. I would like to say I had nice time talking to the Homeschoolers a while back, and too I spoke at BRCA, and it was great to be asked questions ,and to simply talk about the bear cubs, and yearlings I rehabilitate, observe and document everything I am able to witness = repetitive behavioral patterns, and their development stages. I am working on a book, and though it will take some time to put everything together - it will be published someday, and it will be all facts, and indeed an interesting read - In more ways than one....I am in the process too - writing the IRS a letter - changing the bylaws just a bit ; I simply have not had the time to do so, but will complete this task soon.
