I have been recently asked on several occasions to consider bringing to High Schools around the country my motivational and inspirational presentation by several educators also school board members. In the words of Jose Marti, Los ninos son el la ESPERANZA de mundo (Children are the worlds hope) I would like to cite that if one of every child attending schools are Latinos. Then we can assume that these young Latinos are the hope of America. We need to promote respect and dignity for them, their culture and identity plus the contributions their families and culture have made to this great nation. The time has come to not only say when white and black children play together but also brown, red and yellow. We have to teach them that the future of America is about inclusion not exclusion, Thus we are now offering a presentation of who Latinos were, are and will be in America. EL FUTURO ES NUESTRO, (THE FUTURE IS OURS) AS AMERICANS. If they do not know their past, they will not understand their present and least of all have a true future of equality as Americans.
