I have been seeing all these ALS bucket challange videos and it gives me mixed emotions. (1) I am so glad to see a horrible disease getting awarenesss. (2) I too sufer from a dibilitating and horrible disease. Every single day I meet or talk to someone who know nothing about this disease. When I was 21 going to college in Rock Springs, WY. I met some people who had heard of Ataxia but they only knew of it as a symptom of a head injury and not a confirmed disease. Most of my family does not know what I go through on a daily basis, mostly because I like to keep my pain to myself. I know that someday I will not be able to, I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I will not be able to live alone forever, that really sucks because I love being independant. Do not be afraid to ask me about my disease and what I go through everyday. If you are still reading and I hope you are, please share this on your wall.
