I have been struggling to understand how Wani Igga thinks denying - TopicsExpress

I have been struggling to understand how Wani Igga thinks denying Diaspora dual citizenships will stop them from continuing to influence South Sudan affairs, both domestically and internationally. Diaspora has very critical influences through families, friends and other acquaintances in South Sudan. Do not forget, these people just left South Sudan Yesterday, some of whom were fighting alongside you against the Arabs and continued that fights in their host countries that led to the signing of the CPA. I remember when you came to Kansas City to lobby Diaspora to advocate for peace in South Sudan (you knew the importance of Diaspora back then). Therefore, declaring a war on them is, somehow, twisted and not logically thought out. Members of the Diaspora are considered Ambassadors of South Sudan by their host countries and also Ambassadors of their host countries when they go back to South Sudan. This relationship is complex, deep and can be problematic if agitated. The only way out here, Mr. Vice President, Wani Igga, is to stop the rule-and-divide policy on South Sudanese and sit down and think really hard and, if possible, bring in experts to help you and your government on drawing out a contingency plan on how to bring all South Sudanese together with all their diversities and opposing viewpoints. Drawing a plan that submits the government back to the people so that the people are the only drivers of their government as opposed to the other way is the key. Trying to incite South Sudanese against each other (Diaspora vs. Home) is not going to work. You tend to be the champion of doing these kinds of incitements; you did it last time against the UNMISS and now you are trying to do it again against the innocent South Sudanese Diaspora whom most of them are helping their families and friends to prevent the worse humanitarian crisis the senseless conflict has inflicted on our people! Denying me, for example, a dual citizenship will not stop my campaign for a better South Sudan and in fact, will cause me to campaign even more. You will not cut my relationship with my people back home and they will continue to listen to me and you will be feeling the heat! Stop fear mongering and blackmailing; they are the ones that got the country this far! What you are doing in Arusha and Addis Ababa is the way forward. Focus on it and decisively bring back peace to South Sudan. People say, Wani Igga listens, he is a good man! Others say, he is a comedian! Others say, he is a motivator! Lol, lets see!
