I have been tagged by my daughter, Amanda Valentine Martin to list 10 books that have stayed with me. No right or wrong books... favorite or not. I have to tag a few friends as well: Genie Jackson Hardin, Andrea Barbera, Sydney Taylor, Dick Rattan , So here goes: 1. The Day of the Jackal by Frederick Forsyth... the first time I rooted for the bad guy not to get caught, but also, not to get the job done! 2. Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell... well honey, I am Southern after all! 3. Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown... it broke my heart. 4. The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen Woodiweiss..first romance novel I read in 1972 with descriptions. 5. Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand....made me understand a little bit of the Pacific where my Daddy flew from 1941-45. 6. The Winds of War by Herman Wouk....romantic WWII. 7. Texas by James Michener...beautifully written family story. 8. Doctor No by Ian Flemming...saw the movie in 1963 and read every one of his Bond books. 9. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee...sweet, scary, moral story, or maybe it was Gregory Peck! 10. Harry Potter & the Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling...it was the first of a great, inventive series . So thats my list, anyone can play along, just tag me so that I can read your list!
