I have been teaching detection dog stuff for so long that I cannot - TopicsExpress

I have been teaching detection dog stuff for so long that I cannot remember when I was ever in a class where I was a student and the focus was on me and my dog. I did take classes from Scott W way back when to make sure that the methodology I was presenting was consistent with that which NACSW promoted (and it was, not because of information I acquired from NACSW, but from changes that I had already made as to how I trained my wilderness dogs). And, I can now appreciate why people take classes!! It is LOVELY to have someone else in charge of a class, to have someone else set up hides, and all I have to do is watch, absorb and HAVE FUN with my dog!! And, I did!! Maria runs a great, fun, motivating class. And, one can see how happy, focused and engaged my dog is in the training. Saoirse is just 16 months old….and this is Class 1 of Level I (Introduction to Hunting) but I think she has a great K9NW career ahead of her!! I will try to tape Saoirse’s initial progress so that folks can see some of the training they can expect in their dog’s foundational K9NW training. And, I hope that Saoirse’s excitement and joy motivates many folks to want to give the same happiness to their dogs!! There are over 70 Detection Dog Trainers across the country and in Canada wanting to share this training to Returning Veterans at no cost. And, we are willing to do that, not only because we know the incredible joy this training gives our dogs, but we ABSOLUTELY VALUE and RESPECT the service that all Returning Veterans, and the sacrifice of many other Veterans, have given to us at home. We want to give a little back to you all….so I hope that each Returning Veteran who reads this post and watches this video, contacts us for available training. We are here for you!
