I have been thinking for the last few days about how to decorate for the holidays on the tight budget we have. I was blessed enough to grow up on a house where my parents made the holidays festive and magical. My brothers and I would help with the food prep and clean up, house cleaning and we loved having family and friends over. Mom would make decorations and both of my parents would decorate the house. It was wonderful!! As I have grown older I would love to decorate some, but the holidays are not about what we buy for each other, its about cherishing each others friendships, family and the blessings in our life. No I do not need a tree or the lights, it would be nice, but knowing I have what I have due to the love of others, and knowing I have many friends that love and tolerate me is enough.
