I have been using The Medicare RX prescription drug plans for years but never thought or noticed how much they were ripping me off until this year, I have used them for years and only once did I ever run into the coverage gap. I have used the preferred plan but coming close to the gap last year I thought I would play it safe and increase the coverage to the Enhanced plan. With the Enhanced plan and the raise in benefit amount, I thought I was plenty safe. This is only the 7th month of the year and I was very surprised that I am In the Coverage Gap. The first time ever!. Almost all the same medications , and I thought Costs. One particular medication, total cost on 5-8-2013 is $148.05. Plan paid $103.05 out of my Pocket paid $45.00 but the intire $148.05 is charged to my Ins. on 5-31-2013 the , same medication the same Qty. The plan paid $51.91, out of my pocket paid $90.00 . total $ 141.91 and all charged to my plan I have even run into a case where there was a $45.00 co-pay and for an extra 15 pills I was charged an additional CO pay of $45.00. Something is wrong with these Government RX figures So 15 pills cost me$45.00
