I have been viewing posts with interest and it does strike me that many vegans (especially recent practitioners) are really not sure about how to optimise their vegan experience. So here is a brief checklist of foodstuffs that I use to guarantee my own well-being: Brown rice Rye bread Porridge Miso soup Tofu and tempeh Coconut oil as a spread and frying medium Coconut milk yoghurts Smoothies with all kinds of superfoods in them Veg galore Some fruit (but not too much) Avocado Sea-weed Nuts and seeds (ideally activated) Nutritional yeast with B12 added Tahini and nut spreads There are many other things I could have listed but you get the idea. I start the day with a hot water with lemon to detox from the day before. I now avoid sugar, wheat and chocolate as much as possibel. When i do, my energy levels are amazing, my health (i am now 55) is way better than it has ever been and it is improving all the time and I play football like a 25 year old. Veganism rocks! :)
