I have been wanting to post this and havent had the opportunity until now...it has been a truly amazing several days! Words can not describe how I really feel...actually Im not sure how I feel but I do know that Im very blessed to have the best family anyone could ask for. I have such wonderful friends and an awesome barbecue family. Ive met so many wonderful people in the last week that Ill call friends for life. I want to thank so many people that have helped me thought my journey to get where Im at today....you know who you are so Im not going mentioned all of you but I do want to mention a few. First and foremost my family...my wonderful amazing son Garrett Elser, this kid prepared that amazing chicken that was turned in. My brother Jeff Elser, I cant even begin to say enough about this guy but thanks for everything you did. My brother and sister in law Jason and Shelley Elser, my sister Jamie Elser Steele for coming up with some awesome ideas to turn in for the surf and turf. My mom....AKA Momma Q Vickie Elser, for keeping all of us a happy family! Im sure Dad was looking down on all of us proud as could be....miss you pops!...love all you guys!!! I want to thank Mike McCloud and all of his wonderful staff....with out these guys we wouldnt have a World Food Championship. My buddy Dana L. Hillis...you remember what I told you Sunday....and I meant that from the heart brother! Like I said before Im very blessed that I can follow a dream....it hasnt been easy and I didnt give up when it wasnt looking good at times...that would have been too easy. All it takes is a lot of hard work and passion to make your dreams come true! THANKS again for all the kind words over the last week.
