I have been working on the issue of Water fluoridation for many years. I am a labor worker and activist. Fluoride is added to the drinking water supply for the sole purpose of medicating our teeth. The "Fluoride" added is NOT pharmaceutical grade. It is hydrofluorosilicic acid an inorganic chemical by-product of Phosphate fertilizer manufacturing. No studies have been done on long term Human Toxicity. Fluoridation is medication without consent, has negative health and environmental effects. In 1957, in a decision by the Supreme Court of Canada, Judge Ivan Rand, (for whom the Rand formula is named) said, "The method proposed does not appear to be the only feasible mode of making available to the public what is considered by the municipality to be a desired health ministration. Fluoridation apparently can be provided otherwise than by making it general in the water supply." Many cities have stopped this practice, recently Windsor, Ontario ended Fluoridation, thanks in part to CAW/unifor local 444. please email or call your municipal councilors.
