I have ben struggling with my carnivorous ways. This pushes me ever closer to giving it all up, I have been shocked to find out how bad the dairy industry is. If nothing else I will be sourcing meat and dairy from sources that pride themselves on ethical treatment of their animals, like Strauss dairy. We have been buying beef and pork from small farmers for a while but need to do the same with chicken. I can see the writing on the wall though ethics aside the large scale commercial meat and dairy industries are just not sustainable long term. Just based on land and water use alone, just think of how much other food could be produced with the resources it takes to grow and process a cow....
