I have came up with a list of guidelines for the classes. I would like to ask the students to follow them. Thank you! Guidelines for Mysore classes: • NO CELL PHONE (if you must, notify the teacher first and always keep it on silent mode). • No shoes in the yoga room. • Prepare to sweat. Bring a sufficiently sized, clean and dry towel to the class. • Please do not move the mats without asking first. • If you must walk about during class (not encouraged), please do not step on other people’s mats. • Make sure that your body, clothes are clean and odor free. Avoid using overly strong perfume and deodorants, which might irritate fellow practitioners and/or the teacher. • Refrain from eating for a minimum of 3 hours before practicing. • Refrain from drinking any fluid during your practice. • Maintain silence during practice times (except when interacting with the teacher about matters relevant to your practice). i.e. NO TALKING with fellow practitioners during the class. • No helping or assisting on fellow practitioners (unless permission is granted by the teacher). • Stick to the series you are working on and the postures you have been given and refrain from mixing postures and sequences from other styles. • Do not ask your teacher for a new pose. He’ll let you know when you are ready. • All props are to be returned to their original places arranged with proper attention and neatness, and please wipe the mat with provided cloth and mat cleaning spray after your practice. Guidelines for Ashtanga led and lite classes: • NO CELL PHONE (if you must, notify the teacher first and always keep it on silent mode) • No shoes in the yoga room. • Prepare to sweat.
