I have gone on thinking about my contact with Jennifer Wynne Reeves over these last several years. She is one of many artists I have come to know in this funny way. this virtual world- we are friends. friends sometimes, and sometimes friends without the need for quotation marks. in many cases, we go years without meeting and sometimes never meet at all. Ive met many through Jerry Saltzs wall, and I thank you for that. Here is the online version of the show that I curated last year at curatingcontemporary. I was so happy to have her take part, along with Valerie Brennan, Lucy Mink Covello, Rebecca Campbell, Mira Gerard, Sabine Tress, Julie Torres, David McDonald, and myself. We will be exhibiting next year at the TAM Torrance Art Museum. she wrote this: The hoary horizon rolls out the red carpet for a motley crew like us: sadists, longhorns and gnats suspended in amber.
