I have good news! Today, I had an appointment with a new doctor who is a pain specialist but also specializes in Fibro treatment. The place was a dump and the people there were awful but it was completely worth it because the doctor was amazing! She talked to me for an hour about all of my symptoms and gave me so many tips and tricks to try and ease the pain. She listened and understood and was so compassionate. I now have a new medicine regimen (that actually makes sense!) and I have an appointment in two weeks for a dry needle trigger point acupuncture session. She is the only person in the area who does that procedure, and it should drastically reduce the pain and tension in my neck and shoulders. I am so happy I cant stand it! I cannot wait to get back to the old Emily, who is full of energy and who wouldnt slow down or stop for anything. I cant wait to be the wife and mom that I used to be before this nasty thing called Fibro turned my life upside down. I gotta say, it took awhile, and sometimes I didnt think I could do it, but I am well on my way to kicking fibros ass! I remain undefeated in the ass kicking business :)
