I have gotten to spend a little time with Officer Justin Wilkers and his mom Shirley Shea. He is not only a fearless and effective police officer, but he is also a thoughtful person when it comes to doing good police work. As we embark on a new effort to try to reverse our states unacceptable violent crime rate, we will be listening to our law enforcement officers to make sure we get it right. A lot is at stake.
