I have had a couple of friends say I am short with them now, that I dont reach out like I used to. I am not the same person and I never will be again. Doesnt mean I dont care about you, it just means its harder for me to chit chat about stuff than it used to be. The little stuff is all so trivial. Understand its hard for me to hear you complain about your teenagers, or get all excited over things that are coming up for them, license, dating all of that. And if you cant understand and respect that, then I dont need you as my friend anyway. I am happy for all the things your children are doing. But at the same time, its like a knife in my heart because my baby isnt here doing them. She isnt coming back. Amelia died and part of me died with her. If you cant accept who I am now, or feel like I dont reach out to YOU enough, take a look in the mirror. How often do you reach out to me unless you need something?
