I have had large anxiety lately and I know part of it is the transition of my oldest going back to school. I hate sending them into the world, though its natural I dont like it;) I dont think any parent likes to send their babies off. However, I realized there was greater reason I have felt anxious. As many know, my 6 yr old Nehemiah was found to have an arachnoid cyst on his left frontal lobe of his brain, when he was 6 months old. It has never been drained bc it is far more risky to attempt that. Arachnoid is called that due to it spreading like a spider web. Any wrong slight nick could be and probably would be deadly. It has given some problems with delays etc, as it pushes down the left side of his brain. He has had a few concussions which is what we dont want, but we monitor closely. We go every 2 years to see the growth of the cyst. It is slow growing. So it is has arrived and the time has come for his 2 year MRI. He will unfortunately miss the 1st day of school as his MRI and neurosurgery appt is all on September 3. This always brings much anxiety to me, to us, an especially to Nehemiah. His last MRI he despised bc he was old enough to know what was happening. Because of his age he has to be sedated and thats his most scary part. My scariest part Is waiting for the results. So I figured it wa safe to ask for prayers early. Especially for Nehemiah as he has no idea we are going, b when we mention it in the past he flips out. Pray there has been no growth and if anything its shrunk. That would be great. Thank you all an please mark September 3 as a day to pray for Nehemiah:)
