I have had many friends throughout my life. Only one or two stayed with me in strife. The others vanished as I moved on. Trying to rekindle old friendships is a waste of time. For I have connected with all who were in my past, they too had new lives, nothing would last. Not friendship, not love, not loyalty. Unless, of course... You had a lot of money. I have been rich, and I have been poor. Rich brought friends, while poor did not. Cynical about loyalty, I now say this... Wait until you are in trouble. You may find one or two long term difficulties make people shy away. For they look at you and think you are contagious. Finding loyal friends is hard to come by.
