I have had the statement more than I can count ask of me, why we home schooled our children. For one I felt the Lord tell us to, two we dedicated all our children to the Lord for His use and purpose as they were conceived. Also Melanie and I knew that the public schools do not raise up ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are in quiet a shortage of ministers today that will go when God says go, now there is a lot of career ministers, but i aint talking about that! ! I have been told your kids wont be able to withstand life pressures, come deal with me for one month, and coping skills will be the least of your problems! Also, I beg to differ, two of them at the age of 19 (Zechariah) and 21 (Hannah) and my son in-law (Brandon) are in a foreign country doing a work for the Lord from ground zero! Our other daughter ( Danielle Hatcher 20 years old and her hubby ( J.t.) started everything you see in Tx by coming out here when Melanie and I lived in Ga. Our youngest Abbie is biting at the bit to get going, but where hanging on to her at 17 as long as we can! :) So like I told a old man with dog one time, you raise your children, let me raise mine, I am a proud papa of my blood children, married in children, and all my adopted children are doing great in Jesus and life! :) Now today, I love spiritually adopting children! Peace and love 2 all even those who.... well you know, would not invite me over for chitterlings, collard greens, beans and corn bread! ;)
