I have heard and been asked by people that if God is such a good God, and you believe Jesus is coming back, then why hasnt He come back yet? Why is He allowing all this bad stuff to happen? The answer can be found in the following scripture: 2 Peter 3:9 says: The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. (ESV) God loves the sinner, and He does not want anyone to go to Hell! But without Jesus Christ, many, many will. So He, in His infinite patience, is giving mankind as much time as He can to allow every person to hear the good news of the Gospel at least once!! Its on the individual what they do with this knowledge after hearing how Jesus freely gave His spotless, sinless life taking our place on the cross!! He didnt just die for us, He was resurrected on the third day, proving, by being seen not just by the men who would later become known as the twelve apostles, but by many of His disciples for 40 days therafter (Acts 1:3). Why is this point important? Because, the Muslim world will admit that Jesus was a good man and a prophet of God but, NO OTHER MAN has ever come back from the dead and been seen by multiple people at multiple times!* Yes, the world is an evil place. God knows it! He longs to receive His children home and put an end to the perpitrator, Satan. That will happen and you can read about in Revelation, the last book of the Bible, and yes, we Win!...BUT GOD...two of my very favorite words!! But God, in His infinite mercy is not wishing that any should perish and is letting this corruption of His grand design for mankind to go on until He knows that the last person who will be saved has made that committment to Him. And if that person were you, wouldnt you be glad He waited for you?? *(NOTE: There will come a man in these last days who will offer peace to the world, who will appear to die, and come back to life. Beware, this is the Antichrist, do not follow, worship or receive his mark! Revelation 13:12-18)
