I have heard comments about certain people stating they just stay on FB or always post such annoying statuses. FB is simply social networking which can include quite a range of topics including politics, religion, philosophy, humor, tributes, local news, pictures, and many other topics. Some choose to post primarily on a negative note, some always upbeat, some mainly focus on politics or religion, some dwell on every detail of an illness. Know what? There are extensive privacy controls on FB, there are options to not be bothered by certain people and most users are experienced in scrolling. What someone else posts is as much their right as it is for us to not comment or like. So why am I on a tangent tonight? On my friends list I have one who is terminally ill, one who has an amputated limb, three who are deaf, two awaiting organ transplants, several who have epilepsy and other neurological disorders, several in wheelchairs, and many with devastating family problems. What they or anyone else chooses to post is their choice. I do think its common sense to not attract devious vultures such as was addressed in a recent post by Debbie Hutcheson Holley. My point is that old adage about never knowing what goes on behind closed doors. Even if someone lives the ultimate life it still applies. Just understand someones time spent on FB is none of our business. Neither is WHAT they post. By the way. the comment that got me into a rage was about one of the above with a disability. You may call it their obsession, they may call it therapy.
