I have heard that the live music is back on at The Mounty ... is that true? Ive one word to say about that AWESOME!!! Id like to share some exciting news for one of The Mountys many great bands over the years (and there have been many) ... Gerry Quigleys new Irish lineup of Perth band The Shinkickers! You most likely remember them from their great gig at The Mounty on New Years Eve 2012 and many great Friday nights at the Mounty ... you might know that founding member Gerry Quigley has moved to Ireland and we all farewelled him at the Mounty back in August 2012 ... well I am always watching their page to see when they are coming back to Perth ... heres the latest update from their page ... awesome news for a great band, they really deserve it and we wish them all the best ... who knows by the sound of it, we could see them back in Perth sometime next year ... Following the success of our Ireland debut gig in Cork, Ireland for the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival on October 27th 2013 The Shinkickers have hit No.1 for the first time today on the Reverbnation Blues Charts not just for Cork City but for the whole of Ireland!!! Of course Weeping Willow was a real hit with everyone ... so too was the great lineup of blues, classic rock and originals, Shinkickers style.
