I have just returned from South Africa having undergone extensive testing for damaged inner ears and possible surgery to both ears. With the best practitioners in the industry and the best machinery at their disposal, tests indicated that symptoms were not showing ruptured inner ear issues and diagnosis swung towards possible neck and jaw related problems. I cancelled surgery on the twelfth hour after deliberating long and hard about going ahead with it. The ENT was sure that they should open up and expose the inner ear and then graft the membranes at the oval and round window even if they could not see any fistulas there. After cancelling theatre, I was concerned that I had made a bad decision and that the ringing and liquid sounds in the middle ears were still fistulas. It was only after many Physiotherapy and Chiropractor sessions that TMJ was correctly diagnosed! Temporalis Muscle Joint - very tight Jaw muscles, jaw out of alignment and affecting inner ear and eustachian tubes. Still have the tinnitus, but dizziness subsiding and best of all I have started back at the Gym again as of yesterday. I have not done a single bit of exercise for over 3 months!! I have my life back again and cant wait to get back to the bush and my eyes back on a camera viewfinder!!
