I have just updated my website with a cheesecake page and my latest cakes with prices. The prices shown reflect what the cake should have cost, not necessarily what was paid - if I underquote I will always stick to the original quote given and not hit you with any nasty surprises on collection of your cake. Having said that, I do need to look at my pricing structure. Whilst looking at my costs when updating my website it has become apparent that as my cakes are becoming more and more complex I am currently working for less than £1 an hour. I make cakes because I enjoy doing it, but at the end of the day this is a business and I have bills to pay and a family to feed. Hopefully you all understand. This has made me question the future of Yummy Mummy and how to proceed from here and what I need to do as a business to move forward. Any cakes already quoted will be honoured at that price but in the not to distant future please be warned that you may see a slight increase in my prices in order for this small business to survive.
